Members of the team are Nolan Bourdeau, Jake Branco, Alex Del Monte, Joshua Finkle, Evan Foulon, Jacob Hill, Connor Johnston, Royce Laramee, Ben Leitao, Aidan MacCormack, Cole Patton, Matthew Ritchie, Steven Skjarum, Jaiden Thiara, Connor Usaty and Jake Walker. Armando Leitao is the head coach, assisted by Justin MacCormack and Ryan Procunier. The trainer is Richard Hill and manager is Karen Skjarum. The Oakville novice red Bruins (pictured above) defeated the Erindale Spitfires 6-1 to win gold at the recent Bradford Blue and Gold Classic hockey tournament. Oakville finished the tournament undefeated in five games. Members of the team are Alexey Karpov, Tyler Simpson, Lucas Ilic, Nathan Chin, Nolan Marshall, Jack Graham, Chayse Fielding, Trey Magrin, Jake Watson, William Glatzmayer, Tomas Serrano, Justin Muurinen, Riley Flemington, Blake Cooper, Adrian Jendrzejczak and Luke Mazzocato. Sandra Fielding, Bart Mazzocato, Dan Magrin and Dave Muurinen coach the Bruins. Hopedale bowlers strike gold at zone meet, advance to provincial championships Hopedale Bowl members won four team gold and an individual title at a recent youth bowling zone competition in Bolton and Georgetown. Kendra Hole, Rachael Seabourne and Brittany Watson were part of a title-winning senior team; Caitlyn Beharry contributed to a victorious bantam squad; Paige Parker, Samantha Aubine, Sarah Styles and Emily Kerr won the junior girls' title; and Hayden Wiese, Benjamin Aubin, Matthew Morrissey and Josh Joly claimed the junior boys' title. In individual action, Jonathan Burt won the junior boys' division. All gold-winning bowlers advanced to this weekend's provincial finals in the KitchenerWaterloo area. Zone silver medals were earned by Hopedale junior boys' competitors Joshua Aubin, Charlie Violin, Jean Luc Aubin and Jonas Hayhoe.
