Dancer hopes to inspire Continued from page 24 25 · Friday, February 22, 2013 OAKVILLE BEAVER · www.insideHALTON.com Lupien said he was inspired to dance by an older dancer at his dance studio. Now, he hopes to inspire younger generations of dancers as he had once been inspired. Getting on a show like The Next Step is a good vehicle to achieve this. "I hope this show can give me enough publicity where I can go all over the world and teach kids and try to give them the same inspiration that I got," he said. The first episode, titled Get the Part Started, airs on Friday, March 8 at 7 p.m. on Family Channel. For more information, visit www.family.ca. The singers will be at St. Simon's Anglican Church on Wednesday (Feb. 27). The Three Cantors are comprised of Reverends Peter Wall of Hamilton, William Cliff of London and David Pickett of Ancaster and Sinclair. They first performed together in 1996 at a diocesan service in London. After the concert, Rev. Peter Townsend suggested they form a group and do a fundraising concert for the Anglican Church's relief and development fund, Primate's World Relief and Development Fund. They agreed and their first concert was to a 700-member audience at a packed Grace Church in Brantford. Since then, they have performed 200 concerts and sold thousands of CDs. They have appeared on CBC's Sounds of the Seasons, have been interviewed by Michael Enright and have participated in Judy Maddrens' A Christmas Carol readings. Since that first concert, the group has raised more than $1 million for the Anglican Church's relief and development fund. The fund is used to help support partners in Canada and the developing world, such as funding projects in Mexico, Central America, Africa and Asia. St. Simon's is located at 1450 Litchfield Rd. It starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $25. For tickets, call the church office at 905-8458351. For more information, visit www.3cantors. com.
