Investigation continues Suspects were armed into death of 34-year-old Continued from page 1 5 · Wednesday, January 23, 2013 OAKVILLE BEAVER · www.insideHALTON.com By David Lea OAKVILLE BEAVER STAFF No charges have been laid in connection with the death of a 34-year-old man who died during an altercation at a Ventura Drive home Friday evening. Halton police responded to the address at around 8 p.m. after receiving reports that a dispute had taken place between two men. One of the men was unresponsive at the scene. Emergency service personnel tried unsuccessfully to resuscitate the man. The other individual involved in the incident was taken into police custody, but later released pending further investigation. The cause of the man's death remains undetermined. Police are releasing little information about the case. They won't say exactly what happened during the altercation, whether the men knew each other, their names or if they even reside in Oakville. Members of the Homicide Unit and Oakville Criminal Investigations Bureau are currently investigating. Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact the Halton Regional Police Service Homicide Unit tip line at 905-825-4776 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). One suspect is between 18-20 years old, 6-foot, approximately 180 lbs., with an average build. He was wearing dark clothing and holding what appeared to be a silver handgun. Another suspect is described as 20 years old, 5-foot-7 and approximately 150 lbs. He was wearing a light-coloured sweater, dark pants and holding a handgun. A third suspect is described as being of average height and weight. It is unknown at this time whether this suspect was in possession of a handgun during the incident. All three suspects wore dark-coloured bandanas around their faces. Anyone with information concerning this matter is asked to contact Det. Sgt.
