If you were, have your little "Bundle of Joy" listed in Kevin & Stephanie Lachance (nee Wyers) are thrilled and very proud to announce the arrival of their daughter MELHUISH, Nigel John On January 1st, 2013, in his 81st year, Nigel passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. A dedicated husband, father and grandfather, he will be forever missed by his loving family: wife Pat, daughters Lisa (m. John Todd) and Liane (m. David Beaupre), son David, and grandchildren Christopher and Melissa Todd, Lindsay, Nicholas, and Joshua Beaupre, and Mitchell and Hayden Melhuish and newest family member Samantha the Schnauzer. Emigrating from England in 1956, joined by Pat in 1957, Nigel resided in Oakville for 38 years of his and Pat's 55 year marriage. It would be impossible to find a kinder, truer, gentler individual with more determined strength of character. Nigel was a mentor for many through life's journey, teaching by example valuable lessons about integrity, patience, and family values. Working and managing for the CIBC for 32 years, Nigel earned the respect and admiration of all those he worked with. Most important to him was spending time with his family - summers in the backyard and winters in Mexico. Through his retirement, Nigel applied his extensive knowledge of financial administration, gained through years of experience, to support Pat with fiscal management at Countrywide and Prudential real estate offices and The Sunshine Kids Foundation. There's a face we shall always remember, A voice we shall always recall, A memory to cherish forever, Of one so dear to us all. All services are to be held at Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens, 3164 Ninth Line in Oakville. Visitation will take place on Sunday January 6th, 2013 from 2pm - 5pm and the funeral on Monday January 7th, 2013 at 11am. In lieu of flowers donations to The Hospital for Sick Children or The Canadian Sunshine Kids Foundation would be appreciated. Please visit http://bit.ly/nigelmelhuish for more information.
