"A new toy can mean the world to a child in need, especially during the holidays," said Christie Henderson, managing partner. "It is an event I hold near and dear to my heart as it a wonderful way to bring people together to help children and families, right here in the Town of Oakville." Each guest was asked to bring an unwrapped, toy or a warm winter jacket as a donation. "The Oakville Toy Tea is more than a gathering over a cup of coffee, tea... or a martini, it is a way to raise awareness about need in our community and a way to give back," said Josée O'Toole, principal at Henderson Partners. "So many lives have been touched by this event, since 2001, and it is a fantastic way to make a difference during the holiday season." Money collected from sponsorships is used to fund the cost of the event and purchase additional toys or gift cards.
