Annual pyjama drive to benefit Children's Aid The Children's Aid Foundation of Halton is on the hunt for cozy pyjamas to give to the children in its care. And this will be the fourth year Robyn Bowman, owner of Creating Space Yoga Studio on Chartwell Road, has answered that call. Bowman has once again organized a Holiday Pyjama Drive. "This year, news of our PJ drive has already spread and we have caught the attention of the local Oakville Rangers AAA Atom team. They will be collecting PJs to also support our drive," Bowman said in a news release. "Also, the Grade 3 class from St. Mildred's (Lightbourn School) is pitching in to help me." Along with a drop-box available at Creating Space Yoga Studio, at 594 Chartwell Rd., there will be an additional drop-off site at Grace Academy of Dance and Performing Arts (785 Pacific Rd.), a supporter of the campaign. "This amazing community of yogis and neighbours pull together each year to reach out to children in their community in need," Bowman said. "Their wish for the holidays is that all children can go to sleep over the holidays feeling warm, cozy and cared for." Pyjamas will be accepted until Friday, Dec. 14. Although all sizes are accepted, organizers say there is a need for sizes suitable for 10-18 year olds.
