She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Robert Allan Bagnall. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Karyn Glibbery (Eric Glibbery); son Geoff Bagnall (Allyson Webster) and grandchildren Cailey Bagnall and Thomas Bagnall. He was the very proud father of Sarah (Richard), Shannon and Daniel, and beloved husband to Lesley. He is also survived by his sister Judith, and brother Mark, and predeceased recently by his sister Pauline. He enjoyed a long career in various enterprise architecture positions, travelling extensively, working with banking clients around the world, liking nothing better than to tackle complex problems and work methodically to find solutions. A naturalist in his youth, he had recently rediscovered a love of fishing and immersed himself in learning everything he could about it, rapidly becoming a knowledgeable and proficient fly fisherman. He spent many happy hours with family and friends last summer, roaming through rivers and streams, practicing his new sport and enjoying the natural beauty of Ontario. His loss has been a shock to his immediate family as well as his friends and acquaintances who knew him to be a man of intense passion for family and friends, combined with a pragmatic, common-sense approach to life. Condolences through www.koprivataylor.com ROMANO, Anne Jean Peacefully in her sleep at Sunrise Senior Living in Oakville, Anne Romano (nee Kozokar) in her 88th year, passed away on Thursday, November 15th. Predeceased by her loving husband, Francis (Frank) Romano and her sisters Lily Senyk, Mary Haag and brother Michael (Mitch) Evaski. Beloved mother to her son, Vincent Romano and wife Dianne, Baden, Ontario and her daughter, Colleen and husband Doug Robins, Oakville. "Nannie" will be sadly missed by grandchildren Jennifer Chan (Michael), North Vancouver, B.C., Amanda Robins (Jamie Wile), Toronto, Steven Romano, Baden and Christine Romano (Geoff Gittins), Toronto. Proud Great-Grandmother to Tristan, Leif , Portia, Isla and Charlotte. She will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Anne was born in Thorold Ontario and moved to Niagara Falls as a young girl. She wed Frank in 1944 and they enjoyed 54 years of married happiness. Anne and Frank moved to Stratford Ontario in 1966 with the Dominion Chain and were later part owners and managers of the Festival Inn. Anne was a member of St. Joseph's Parish and the CWL, Stratford. Anne enjoyed an active retirement and moved to Oakville in 2009 and spent the remainder of her years at Sunrise. Anne will be remembered for her devotion to her family, a strong faith in God and her strength, courage, kindness and generosity. A special thanks to her caregivers at Sunrise and the CCAC who made her final days comfortable. Visitation was held at the KOPRIVA TAYLOR COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME , 64 Lakeshore Rd. W., Oakville (1 block east of Kerr St., 905-844-2600) from 2-4 & 7-9pm Tuesday. Funeral Mass 11:00am (Today) Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 47 Reynolds St., Oakville.
