Summer Sizzlers camp staff led `best summer ever' By David Lea OAKVILLE BEAVER STAFF The hard work and achievements of the Town of Oakville's Summer Sizzlers camp staff were recognized at Town Hall on Monday night, with the Ray McConnell Memorial Leadership Awards. The evening began with a video slide show depicting many of the highlights from this year's camping season. The video ended with a small camper thanking staff for `the best summer ever.' Following the slide show, the Town's Recreation Assistant for Children's Services, Jamie Angus, addressed the audience and con- gratulated them on a great camping season, which he said offered some challenges for camp staff this year. "We had big growth here this year. We had more staff than we were used to, we had more camps than we were used to, we had more campers than we were used to. We have almost doubled our capacity over the last couple of years. We've gone from just more than 4,000 camper spots to just under 8,000," said Angus.
