Two artists, one show Jim is back IN HIS BRONTE HOME: Oakville artist James Patterson held an art show in his Bronte home recently to mark his return home after spending three years in Germany. People who have driven past his Bronte Road-Rebecca Street home in the past will have noticed it for its display of hubcap art on crosses, brightly-painted televisions hoisted to the top of totem poles and paintings on the front lawn. Those items were taken down when the artist left the country. ERIC RIEHL / OAKVILLE BEAVER / @halton_photog Colour Special when you bring this ad! With so many choices, however, this task can be confusing. To help you and your complexion, let's start by examining some of the most common sensitive skin myths: You can't use an eye roller The face has some of the most sensitive skin on the body--and the eyelids are one of the most sensitive parts of your face. If you've been told that you shouldn't use products like eye creams or rollers, there are options these days dedicated to this. Try a line of products specifically designed for people with sensitive skin, like Simple. Simple brand has launched an eye roller that is free of dyes, perfumes and harsh irritants. You should wash with just water When people have sensitive skin they may think that using no products at all and just washing with water is the way to go--but this doesn't always work. Washing with just water often doesn't clean your face enough, leaving dirt and oil from the day on your skin. Exfoliating will help your skin If you have problem skin a common reaction is to exfoliate--but if you do this you run the risk of taking off the good at the same time as the bad. Over exfoliating can leave your skin even more sensitive and exposed. Depending on your condition, keep exfoliation down to one to two times a week and use a product that is gentle for sensitive skin, like Simple Smoothing Scrub.
