Now, that bug has evolved into the form of her first novel. The circulation assistant just published the paranormal romance e-book titled For the Love of a God, using a pseudonym of Rosanna Leo. "This is a dream come true, honestly," the first-time Oakville author said. Senatore was surrounded by fellow library workers and family members at the Central branch library on last month where she talked about her writing journey. "My publishing journey began a long time ago, specifically in the love-struck eyes of an eight-year-old girl who had a new crush every single week," she said. "The fact is I've always been a little boy crazy. But now, as a happily married woman and a mother of two boys of my own, I'm not so much boy crazy anymore as I am made crazy by boys. But I still love romance in all its incarnations and I love romance novels." Senatore said she's an avid reader of romance novels and even her son jokes that she doesn't read anything unless the cover has abs on it. Though she does read other genres, she said she's always drawn to romance novels. "Why? Because they give us a healthy dose of a sometimes much-needed fantasy." Senatore actually began writing 10 years ago, finishing several novels of various genres. However, the more she wrote, the more she was drawn to romance. Eventually, the stories began to flow on their own. She said For the Love of a God was the quickest novel she'd ever written and was surprised to get it published. The novel is about a museum conservator who is an expert in ancient Greece and its mythology. She has a crush on the Greek god Eryx (made up for this novel). Now that her first novel is published, Senatore is awaiting her next one. Up in Flames is scheduled for release with the same publisher this month. Furthermore, Senatore and the publisher are working on releasing a third novel in the near future. When asked why she chose to use a pseudonym, Senatore said it was for the freedom that came with it. "I was able to express myself more," she said. "There's a little bit of shyness involved in writing a romance obviously.
