The show will take place at Philthy McNasty's on Sunday. Two Superstars regulars will make appearances at the Oakville show. They are MacDonald himself and Matt O'Brien, who will headline the show. In 2010, O'Brien was voted as the winner of XM Radio's Canada's Next Top Comic. He's a regular on Much Music's Video On Trial and on The Comedy Network's Cocktales. He's also a regular on Yuk Yuk's stages across Canada. MacDonald has made appearances on MTV, The Comedy Network, the History Channel's Urban Legends, and Bite TV's Stand-Up and Bite Me. For the past two years, he also brought many respected comedians to the stage for the Superstars showing on the regular stage in Toronto's Comedy Bar. Aside from a list of comedians, the night will be hosted by Montreal-native Ali Hassan, who can been seen alongside Canadian comedy sensation Russell Peters in the comedy film Breakaway. He's also been in the film Goon, starring Seann William Scott. Hassan has made multiple appearances at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. Fresh art auction The art students of Oakville's DawnAngela Seeley are displaying their works of art at Whole Foods Market in the hopes of helping children in orphanages in Guyana. The art show, titled FRESH, runs at the store's gallery until April 29. However, the silent auction ends on Sunday at 6 p.m. There will also be a reception with the artists on Sunday at the store gallery from 5-7 p.m. Half the proceeds from the art sales will go towards buying barrels, which will be used to ship goods to the South American country. The students of Seeley will then donate and collect gently-used children's summer clothes and educational toys and books to fill the barrels. The students range from ages five to 16. Their lessons include drawing, painting and composition in traditional and contemporary fine art styles. Last year, the annual auction and exhibit raised $1,400, which was donated to the local organization Kerr Street Ministries. People can place silent bids on the gallery wall beside the student paintings before Sunday, April 1. Sheridan hosts CME Oakville's Riot Club punk/rock/ska band will be representing Sheridan College tonight (Friday) at Campus Music Explosions taking place right here at the Oakville school. The Riot Club, featuring Sheridan student Ian Santiana, was chosen as the local representative after winning a previous battle-of-bands competition. As such, they will be the host band at the concert at Sheridan's The Marquee in the Student Centre, which begins at 7 p.m. There will be winning bands from six other nearby colleges and universities and the night will end with a headlining performance by a surprise band. The visiting bands will be bringing busloads of fellow students to the Oakville concert to cheer their guys and gals on. Expressions exhibit The Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre is opening a new exhibit showcasing the exploration of inspiration and inner vision. The Expressions exhibit runs from tonight to April 29. An opening reception will take place at the north Oakville gallery on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. The exhibit features the work of four artists: Lynn Borysiuk, Dawn Kay, Brittany Lauren and Sherry Prenevost. It features the painting mediums of watercolour, acrylic and mixed media as well as photography. The opening celebration will also include live music, performed by Elena Jubinville and Moira Nelson.
