The event will take place at the Oakville Conference and Banquet Centre (2515 Wyecroft Rd.) Iacobucci, whose career with the Supreme Court of Canada spanned 13 years from 1991 to 2004, is expected to discuss the role of the Supreme Court in Canada's past, present and future. Iacobucci was appointed a Companion in the Order of Canada in July of 2007 and in 2009, he received the Justice Medal for lifetime achievement from the Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice. Counsel In 2005, he joined Torys LLP as counsel and currently serves as chair of the Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario, Conduct Review Advisor for the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. Iacobucci is also a member of the Board of Directors of Tim Hortons Inc. and of the Advisory Board of General Motors of Canada. He has acted for the federal government and the Ontario government on major matters involving alleged terrorists, aboriginal people, Afghan detainees and other issues and topics.
