Peters, Cecilia (Died)
- Full Text
PETERS, Cecilia It is with sadness that Eric (son) and Claire (daughter) announce Cecilia Peters passed away November 11, 2011 at Brampton Civic Hospital. She leaves behind many friends who have been impacted by her over the decades, whether through her music in her home or piano playing at Government House in Victoria; her agility and passion for tennis; her insights and wit with literature, this prairie-born lady forged deep and lasting friendships. Words like "luminous" "a gift" "inspiring" "amusing" "story teller" "forgiving" "refreshing" "vibrant and strong" define this "bright ray of light". Warm thanks go to Chris Pruvot who came from France to be with her friend, and Ann Tasko who phoned everyday as Cecilia moved closer to her next walk. We would like to thank those kind souls in palliative care at BCH, especially Tailor and Dolores. And, finally, a special note of thanks to Dr. R. Kivlichan who guided her through her last five year journey with compassion and understanding. Knowing she had support made it possible for her to live extraordinarily large. Respecting Cecilia's wishes no service or memorial will take place. Instead, Claire and Eric invite you to listen for music in unexpected places, see the art of life all around you and dance like no one is watching; as Cecilia did.
