- DONAHOE, Mary Edna (nee Murdoch) A resident of the Kensington Retirement Home, she died on Monday October 24th, 2011 a t O a k v i l l e - Tr a f a l g a r M e m o r i a l Hospital peacefully with her family at her side. Born March 29, 1918, in Loggieville, New Brunswick, Edna graduated from St. Michael's Academy Chatham and Provincial Normal School, Fredericton, New Brunswick. In 1937, Edna began her career teaching grades 1 to 8 in the one room schoolhouse on Middle Island and described in published reference. (Daley C. Springer A. She is predeceased by her husband Richard Donahoe whom she met in Arvida: married in 1945 and lived in M o n t r e a l a n d To r o n t o . S h e i s survived by her 3 children, Patricia, Michael and John; 6 grandchildren, Candice, Shana, Richard, Ryan, Patrick and Kara; and 4 great grandchildren. Edna celebrated her 93rd birthday March 2011. Edna requested "No Donations". Her passion has been lifelong learning and she would encourage everyone to pursue their own educational dreams.
