Beloved wife of the late Col. Norman H. McNally, MD. Predeceased by her sister Audrey Runstedler and brothers Bill, Bud and Jerry Nickleson. Loving mother to Keith (Anita), Megan and Tom (Karen). Devoted grandmother to Aileen, Diana, Shauna and Colin, and honourary "Grandma" to many. Will be dearly missed by many inlaws, nieces, nephews and friends. Born in Windsor, Ontario, "Bessie" graduated from the University of Western Ontario and married in 1941, then led the "army life", with stops in Toronto, London (Ontario), Kingston, Soest (West Germany), Hemer (West Germany), Ottawa, then finally to Oakville in 1962. Bessie was a long-time member of the Glen Abbey Golf Club and the Oakville Curling Club. Many thanks to all who provided compassionate care to Bessie, including the staff at Ian Anderson House, Joan de Sousa, Dr. Robert Gabriel, Dr. Simona Abid, nurse Barb Caccamo, nurse Jadwiga, and all PSWs provided through CCAC, ReCharge and Homewatch CareGivers. A Service to Celebrate Elizabeth's Life will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday November 26, 2011 in the chapel of the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, (one block east of Kerr St., 905-844-2600) Oakville, with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment at St. Jude's Cemetery and reception to follow. Catherine was predeceased by her parents, Angus and Julia Gunn, along with her sister Barb (Bert). Left to cherish her memory are her children Leanne and Sonja (Scott) and two grandsons, Myles and Mason. They were the apples of her eye. Also left to remember her are her siblings Frank, Isabel (Jerry), Maureen (Doug), Angus Jr., Mary (Charlie), Shirley (Felix), Olie (Bob), Kevin (Eileen) and Marie (Dave) and her numerous nieces and nephews. Cathy a.k.a. Kitty was the most genuine and loving person and was always thinking of others and their needs first. GENTILE, Elsie (nee Candelori) Peacefully on Monday November 21, 2011 at The Waterford in Oakville in her 97th year. Elsie, beloved wife of the late Don. Loving mother of Marilyn McMullan (Joe) and Sandra Black (David). Proud Nana of John McMullan (Julianna), David McMullan (Yoko), Paula Izod (Max), Paul Black (Joanna), Andrea DeMichele (Angelo), Stephanie Cherry (Kris) and great-grandmother of Katie, Campbell, Sophia, Liam, Vivian, Mackenzie, Owen, Matthew, Emma, William, and Thomas.
