James Prigione notched the victory in net with 18 saves. Saturday, the Blades struck for three goals in the first period and dominated throughout, outshooting the Cougars 51-19 on the night. Blaney led the way with a shorthanded goal and two assists, with Sean Federow, Lucas Tucciarone, Brad Kobryn and Kudla adding singles. Tyler Karius chipped in a pair of helpers in support of Michael Stiliadis, who stopped 18 shots and recorded the win. The Blades are back in action this weekend with a home-and-home series with the Milton IceHawks. Oakville will host Milton Friday for a 7:30 p.m. start at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex, and the teams will meet again Sunday afternoon in Milton.
