Despite just three points separating the teams battling for first in the Ontario Junior Hockey League's West Division, Blaney knows there will be far more important showdowns in the future. "We're probably going to meet them in the playoffs," the 20-year-old said. "I've been here three years and we've met them in the playoffs both (previous) years. You know every time you come (into Georgetown) it's going to be a battle." The sting of the loss was somewhat tempered by the fact the Blades handed the Raiders a similar fate -- a 5-4 Oakville victory in overtime on home ice -- just 24 hours earlier. And if the Blades can avoid any letdowns before the teams meet again in the first week of December, Oakville should be able to increase its lead atop the division.
