This was the message laid out by the Halton Violence Prevention Council Tuesday as it kicked off November as Woman Abuse Prevention Month. At an event at the Halton Regional Centre, the council -- which includes the Halton Regional Police Service, Halton Region, child welfare and counselling agencies, health services, school boards and legal services -- works to improve services for women and children suffering abuse.
