GRAHAM PAINE / OAKVILLE BEAVER WITH CHORISTERS: A group of singers of the Oakville Children's Choir began this concert season with a retreat to the Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre earlier this month. Here, two members of the Indigo choir, Alex MacIsaac, 16, left, and her friend Blair Somerville, 15, look at some finished Hot Rocks after finding their favorite rock to paint. This was one of the many art activities during the session. The younger groups of the OCC visited the heritage centre in north Oakville. The senior choir members went on a retreat earlier in the year to Albion Hills. The retreats were put on as a way of team building. This season, called Exploring a World of Music, will feature concerts, community activities and will close with a tour to the World Choir Games in Cincinnati in the summer.
