The incident began at the Dirty Martini club, located at 2075 Winston Park Dr., at around 2:40 a.m. According to Halton Regional Police, the incident occurred when a man stepped on a 28-year-old Oakville womans toes while dancing on the clubs dance floor. Police said when the woman con- fronted the man about his action, the man turned around and slapped her across the face. Police were called to the scene and the man was arrested. Elias Kyriacou, 35, has been charged with assault. The Oakville woman was not seri- ously injured during the altercation. The Halton District School Board encourages public input in the naming of its new Oakville high school currently under construction and scheduled to open in September 2012. The school is located in northwest Oakville at 2820 Westoak Trails Blvd. By the end of next week, suggestion forms and ballot boxes will be placed in public libraries and at the following neighbourhood schools: For the Oakville high school, suggestion forms may be submitted at: Palermo Public School; Captain R.
