He is also wanted in connection with a Hamilton theft, which took place just hours after the Burlington theft, in which a high end Rolex watch was stolen. The culprits description in the above two incidents and the description of the getaway car was consistent with the Oakville theft. An 83-year-old Mississauga man, hospitalized after a car crash in Oakville July 16 has died as a result of his inju- ries. Halton Regional police reported the death this week in connection to the collision that took place at approxi- mately 9:30 a.m. on July 16, at the intersection of Trafalgar Road and Dundas Street. The deceased man was driving a beige 2005 Nissan Altima westbound on Dundas Street when he turned south onto Trafalgar Road and collided with a white 2005 Saturn, which was travelling eastbound on Dundas Street. Police said the Saturn had a green light. Paramedics treated the drivers of the two vehicles at the scene before trans- porting them to Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. The Mississauga man has since suc- cumbed to his injuries. Halton police are continuing to inves- tigate this incident and anyone with information related to it is asked to con- tact Detective Constable Chris Heffernan of the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-825-4747, ext. 5420.
