SINGLETON-WOOD, Joan Irene (nee Davies) B o r n i n N e w p o r t , M o n m o u t h s h i r e , United Kingdom on June 12th. 1935 and died after a long illness in Victoria, Br i t ish Columbia on December 24th. 2010. Loving wife to Allan; mother to Ce r i and G l endon ; g r andmothe r t o Chris, Max and Hayley. Despite her ill- health Joan led a life rich with friends, for many years in Oakvi l le , Ontar io , and then in V ic tor ia , B .C . Her k ind sp i r i t and gene rous na tu re w i l l be missed. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Oak Bay K iwanis Pav i l ion, 3034 C e d a r H i l l , V i c t o r i a , B C ; V 8 T 3 J 3 where the staff cared exceptionally for Joan in her final years. A private family funeral service wi l l be held at Royal Oak Bur i a l Pa rk , V i c to r i a , BC . The Reverend Stanley Sinclair, officiating.
