The Oakville minor atom AA Rangers and minor atom AAA Rangers were both knocked out of their home tournament after suffer- ing their first loss in the semifinals. The minor atom AAAs went 3-0-1 to easily take first place in their pool. Oakville opened with three straight wins, edging the Mississauga Rebels 3-2, downing the Kitchener Rangers 6-2 and blanking the Waterloo Wolves 3-0. They fin- ished the round robin with a 4-4 tie with the Cambridge Hawks, who fin- ished three points back of the Rangers in the standings. However, the Rangers were elim- inated in Wednesdays semifinal by the Burlington Eagles, who handed Oakville a 4-1 defeat.
