The incident began at around 3 a.m. when the taxi driver picked up three men in down- town Toronto and was instructed to drive to Oakville. Once the driver arrived in Oakville, he was directed to the area of Third Line and North Service Road where he dropped off one of the men. The driver was then told by the two remaining men to drive to Glengrove Crescent. Police said when the cab arrived the two men and driver got out of the taxi and began arguing. During this argument, police said, one of the suspects struck the driver in the chest and head. The suspect then stole an undisclosed amount of money from the driver before flee- ing the area. Police and an ambulance arrived moments later. The taxi driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Passenger one is described as white, 6- foot-3 in height and weighing around 240 pounds. Passenger two is described as white, 5- foot-10 in height, weighing around 180 pounds and wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and a white shirt with a blue stripe. Passenger three is described as white, 6- foot-3 in height, weighing around 200 pounds, and wearing a brown sweater with a zipper and blue jeans. The cab was equipped with a camera and photos were taken of the men. The Halton Regional Police Service is con- tinuing to investigate this incident and any- one with information related to it is asked to contact the Oakville Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777, ext. 2218 or by call- ing Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
