The clinic, called Health@232, reflects its location at 232 South Service Rd., Unit B just west of Trafalgar Road. Health@232 offers sexual health clinic services, by appointment and drop-in, and needle exchange services. Health@232 will also host a Stop Smoking Clinic beginning Dec. 9 and an oral health assessment clinic beginning Dec. 10. Both the Stop Smoking and oral health assessment clinics are by appointment only. The opening of Health@232 will enable our Health Department to make these clinic services more accessible to Oakville resi- dents, said Halton Regional Chair Gary Carr. The sexual health clinics comprehensive services are free and confidential, and include: pregnancy testing options birth control counselling and contra- ceptive prescription cervical cancer screening sexually-transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment free STI medication to clients and com- munity physicians HIV/AIDS counselling and testing Training session WITH DEFIBRILLATOR: Blake Hurst, public safety education director of Halton Region Emergency Medical Services (EMS) delivers training to a group at St. Paul's United Church mem- bers on how to use a defibrillator. The Mikey Network and St. John's United Church of Oakville each provided one half the cost of the total $3,000 defibrillator.
