Schreiner blasted plans to build a 900-megawatt gas-fired power plant on the Ford-owned lands of 1500 Royal Windsor Dr. Tuesday after taking a tour of the area surrounding the proposed site with members of the Oakville residents' association Citizens for Clean Air (C4CA). "It's totally outrageous," said Schreiner. "It's so clear this is the wrong plant with the wrong technology in the wrong location. We need a better process for how the government makes these kinds of decisions that engages local communities in that decision-making process and we absolutely need regulations around the kind of buffer zones we are going to create around any kind of power plant." Arrest made in pharmacy robbery Halton Regional Police have made an arrest in connection with the robbery of an Oakville pharmacy on Friday, July 9. According to police, the robbery occurred shortly before 10:30 a.m. when a man walked into the River Oaks Pharmacy, 2163 Sixth Line, holding a silver handgun and ordered the pharmacy technician to give him the painkiller Oxycontin. The suspect fled on foot after receiving an undisclosed amount of Oxycontin. Police said an arrest was made following the execution of a search warrant last Friday at an Oakville home in the Upper Middle Road/Sixth Line area. Charged with robbery, wearing a disguise with intent to commit an offence, and use of an imitation firearm to commit an offence is Andrew James Kilpatrick, 18.
