The 21st Winter Olympic Games has come and gone with Canada winning not just its first gold medal on Canadian soil but also winning the most number of gold medals (14) by any one nation in the history of the winter Olympics. The road to winning these gold medals was not easy over $6b spent and the athletes subjected themselves a strenuous preparation. Yet, as desirable as the Olympic medals are, they can only yield momentary satisfaction to the winners. But there is one Medal Eternal Life - that will yield satisfaction both now and in eternity. Obtaining this invaluable medal is not as tedious as the preparation and competition of Olympic athletes. Winning this Medal is as simple as ABC because it has been paid for you by Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. All you need to do is: A Acknowledge your sinfulness and agree with God that you are a sinner; -"for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). Repent and forsake your sins. B Believe that the blood of Jesus was shed for the forgiveness of your sins; "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life"(John 3:16). C Confess your sin to God and forsake them. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved" (Romans 10:9)". The Bible says that when you do this, God will forgive your sins and receive you as His own child, giving you the grace to live a righteous life. Why labour for an earthly medal that you are not sure of winning and even if you win, will only offer you a momentary satisfaction, when the imperishable Medal of Eternal Life is there waiting for you? Call upon the Lord today, and the enduring Medal of eternal life will be yours today, as the Word of God guarantees you in Romans 10:13 that "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved".
