This upcoming Saturday, Oakville hosts its annual Santa Claus Parade, an event that's bound to provoke W Christmas spirit in a town famous for its appearance in the 1994 holiday film, the Santa Clause. Within weeks, houses will be lit up with intense feelings of contentment and exuberance that only seem to exist during the holiday season. Soon stores will begin to resemble mini workshops that sell the gift of giving as eager shoppers compete for the latest toys and gadgets that guarantee smiles on the faces of their loved ones on Christmas morning. As a teenager, I am still young enough to be spoiled on Christmas. I am also old enough to acknowledge that there are many people out there who need any present I may receive, more than I do.
