www.oakvillebeaver.com The Oakville Beaver, Wednesday November 5, 2008 - 25 FUNDRAISING CONCERT: The renowned Canadian Orpheus Male Choir is performing at Knox Presbyterian Church, 89 Dunn St. on Friday, Nov. 7 at 8 p.m. in a concert to benefit Toronto's Evangel Hall Mission. Known as `the men who love to sing', this 70-voice choir features an extensive and eclectic repertoire. Members are volunteers from wide-ranging backgrounds and have one thing in common -- they love choral singing. "You'll enjoy the choir's rich range of basses, baritones and tenors, along with the exquisite soprano voice of Heather Plewes singing soloist with the men," said Suzanne Peacock, volunteer at Knox Presbyterian Church. The choir's music conductor is Fred Numan and its accompanist is Krista Wegner. Tickets cost $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors and are available at by calling 905-844-3472. All money from ticket sales will go to Evangel Hall Mission, thanks to the generous support of sponsors. Located in downtown Toronto, Evangel Hall serves the homeless and disadvantaged, through its drop in centre, medical care, food, transitional housing and much more. Evangel Hall has been an important mission of Knox's for many years.
