Gandolfo, 21, of Oakville, pleaded guilty to manslaughter and failure to remain at the scene of the accident at his last court appearance. Judge Tory Colvin sentenced Gandolfo to six years for each offence, resulting in the 39-month sentence after considering 16 months already served in custody. Gandolfo was originally charged with murder and attempted murder after he drove a stolen Lexus SUV into a crowd of teenagers on Rosewood Avenue on May 14, 2007. Tiffany Bottenfield, 17, was struck and died instantly. Gandolfo also cannot drive for five years, possess a firearm for 10 years and must provide a sample of his DNA for the national databank. Police said, on Wednesday at around 10:40 a.m. a man entered the bank, and handed a teller a note demanding money. The teller surrendered an undisclosed amount of money and the man fled, running behind the bank, where police believe a car was waiting for him. One witness at the scene said he had seen a suspicious vehicle, driven by a woman, sitting behind the bank around the time of the robbery. Police responded to the scene with nine police cars visible in the vicinity of the bank shortly after the suspect left. A canine unit scoured the area looking for any sign of the suspect, but came up empty. Police have obtained the bank's surveillance tapes in hopes of gaining additional information. The suspect is described as a white male, in his late 20's or early 30's, six-feet tall, with an average build, brown eyes and brown hair. He wore a Nike hoodie with red lettering. The hood was over his head and he also had a balaclava covering his face. He wore black gloves and black running shoes.
