Intrada Brass of Oakville will perform free concerts on Sundays at 3 p.m. on July 27 and August 17. The concerts are part of the group's outreach strategy, which will give people the opportunity to hear the band without buying a ticket at the box office. "We have just completed our fourth season at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts, but there are a lot of people who haven't heard us yet," said Doug Field, IBO's general manager. "We're hoping these free concerts on the Waterfront Stage will be our introduction to a lot more people." The music will get people's toes tapping, according to Bram Gregson, music director. "There will be a lot of music people already know and love, but there will also be a few surprises," he said. "The concerts will be 100 per cent entertainment." Although the summer heat has just arrived, IBO is already thinking about snow. The group recently went to the Salvation Army church in Guelph last month for their Christmas recording.
