Just after 1:15 p.m., police say a man walked into the store with a hand gun. The man immediately confronted the lone employee behind the counter and demanded money. Police say the man fled the store in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash. The employee was not injured during the robbery. The Halton Regional Police Canine Unit responded but were unsuccessful at locating the suspect. He is described as white, 17-20 years old, and very thin with blue eyes. He wore a light blue and white fleece sweater, black jeans with a balaclava covering his face. The gun is described as a black handgun, plastic looking with square edges. It did not appear heavy. The Halton Regional Police Service is continuing to investigate this incident.
