ANDREW'S TRADITION: At the McGlynn residence, to be featured in the St. Andrew's House Tour, decorator Michele Hatziioannou, owner of House Warmings in Oakville, adds some finishing touches with ornaments and candles. St. Andrew's Christmas House Tour will throw open the doors on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will feature 10 homes in east Oakville, all dressed up in their Yuletide best, thanks to designers who've gone to work on them. Once the tour is complete, "tourists" are invited to visit St. Andrew's Parish Centre at 53 Reynolds St., for a cup of tea or cider, a cookie or two and an opportunity to shop at the Christmas boutique.As has been the tradition, a portion of proceeds will be donated to the local community and this year the focus will be on SENACA Seniors' Day Program, the Alzheimer Society support group and the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) Geriatric Unit.
