Clinics are being held throughout the region at various schools and community centres and the Halton Regional Centre at 1151 Bronte Rd. The complete clinic schedule can be viewed at www.halton.ca/flu. Annual immunization is recommended for everyone six months of age and older. Individuals of any age with certain medical problems or chronic illness, young children, all pregnant women and seniors are considered high priority for flu vaccination as they're at high risk for flurelated complications. Immunization is also important for those who may spread the flu to this high-risk group and for those who provide essential community services. Other steps can also be taken to help reduce the spread of the flu virus to others, such as washing hands , covering a cough or sneeze with a tissue and staying home when sick.
