Lida Lisney's is most compelling, as her work history had been that of a flight attendant. It's an interesting tale of transition, from airlines to lingerie. Four short years ago.... Lida found herself retired as a flight attendant. "Not sure what to do next, a friend suggested I work part-time at a charming lingerie store in Oakville," says Lisney. Over-extending the job description, Lida involved herself in every aspect of the business. From cleaning to suggesting areas of improvement to developing a superior customer tracking system, "I had the bug." Adept at six languages and cultured world traveler, it was not a far reach for Lida to incorporate these skills into the international marketplace of lingerie production and purchasing. "Having traveled extensively through Europe, I'd developed a fashion sense and flair for lingerie." Clearly a natural businesswoman, it came as no surprise when previous owners offered Lida the opportunity to purchase the store. Inherently her calling, she has never looked back. Taking the shop to new levels, Inside Story celebrates achievement and expansion under Linsey's skillful management. "The learning curb was steep," she says, "but I knew how to work with people and particularly to listen." From fledgling apprentice to entrepreneur, Lida sees franchise in the future. Already scouting locations, "My goal is to properly fit the 85% of women who are not wearing the appropriate bra.
