The following are the Oakville recipients. · John Thissen, Holy Family School -- John is a hardworking student who has overcome many academic and learning challenges to obtain excellent marks. He is a role model for his peers and leads by example with the Christian attitude he shows as he willingly assists other students and staff. His positive attitude, work ethic and willingness to see only the best in others has enriched our school community. · Erin Gamble, Holy Trinity Secondary School-- Erin is one of those rare students that is considered exceptional by her peers, the staff and the clergy. She exemplifies the true meaning of this award through her leadership role as co-president of School Council, extra curricular activities and the Parish. · Matthew Berg, Mother Teresa School-- Matthew shows a high regard for Catholic education and faith. He is respectful to all members of the school community and is consistently involved in many activities, events and teams. His behaviour sets an example for all, as he recognizes the strengths in himself and others and encourages everyone to develop and grow positively. · Antony Discenza, Our Lady of Peace School -- Antony demonstrates Catholic leadership qualities both inside and outside the classroom. He is as committed to his family as he is to his involvement in school affairs and community activities. We are proud to have Antony as a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic community. · Elisa Passarelli, Pope John Paul II School -- Elisa assumes active leadership roles with quiet confidence, unyielding determination and outstanding kindness. She is consistently involved in school and community based activities and her dedication to high academic success, balanced with a sincere appreciation and willingness to extend the hand of friendship, further reveal how Elisa's actions truly speak louder than words. · Valerie Boyes, St. Andrew School -- Valerie is an enthusiastic, endearing and intelligent young woman who is highly committed to her school community. She consistently achieves academic excellence, takes an active role in various school activities, exhibits towards adults, but also to fellow students, he sets a high standard for his peers. Matthew is always willing to help and to give of his time. · Jennifer McCluskey, St. Dominic School -- Jennifer consistently shares her many gifts as she contributes collaboratively and positively to her community. Her interactions with her peers and with staff reflect a wonderful sense of Christian values. · Matthew Heidebrecht, St. Marguerite d'Youville School -- Matthew demonstrates exemplary leadership skills consistent with a Catholic philosophy. He is kind, responsible, inclusive, and scholarly. He is, in the true sense of the phrase, a `scholar and a gentleman,' liaising on behalf of students, yet attentive to a respectful, Christian process. · Cassandra Hurley, St. Joan of Arc School -- Cassandra always displays exemplary Catholic values, which is exhibited in her school and community life. Her Christianity, personal integrity, deep sense of justice and cooperative and conscientious nature are always evident and respected by staff and students. · Luis Juarez, St. John School, Oakville -- Luis is a dedicated and conscientious student who demonstrates a spirit of service through continually volunteering his time in a number of school and extra-curricular activities.
