Joy Wright, of the Ayr Curling Club, built a commanding 5-0 lead through three ends before Quigley's rink, which included Lisa Coulman, Cathy MacIntosh and Lynn Downey, rallied in front of the hometown crowd. Quigley scored one in the fourth and stole three in the fifth to cut the lead to one. Wright carried a 6-5 lead into the final end but without the advantage of last rock, Quigley was unable to even the score.
