Thomas Alexandre BROWN, Roy Edwin- Surrounded by his loving family on January 22nd, 2007, passed away peacefully at the age of 91, at Post Inn Village, Oakville. Roy will be sadly missed by his devoted wife of 64 years, Ruth Elizabeth Brown, formerly of Kitchener and Cambridge, Ontario, and his three cherished daughters, Wendy Campbell (Grant), Vicki Bowyer (Bob), and Donna Brown-Bowers (Ray), and much loved grandchildren, Stephen Campbell (Dana), Scott Campbell (Danusia), Kathleen Thomas (Ross), Andrew Bowyer, Laura Brown-Bowers and Amy Brown-Bowers and greatgrandchildren, Evan and Ryan Campbell and Connor Campbell. Born in Toronto, Roy was the son of the late Thomas and Jennie Brown, and brother of the late Kenneth Brown (Sudbury) and of the late Mae Wendland (Toronto). Roy was a former President of Four Wheel Drive Manufacturing Corporation, (F.W.D.), where he worked for twenty-three years. He was Executive Director of the KidsAbility-Centre for Child Development in Kitchener for ten years and former President and Lifetime member of the Kitchener Waterloo Rotary Club. He was an avid fisherman, golfer and bridge player, motor mechanic, traveller and stained glass craftsman. He was much loved for his Irish humour, abundant affection, generous spirit, strong faith and his devoted love of family and friends. The family would like to give special thanks to the very caring staff on Linden at Post Inn. A Service of Celebration for Roy will be held at Maple Grove United Church, 346 Maple Grove Drive, Oakville, on Tuesday, January 30, 2007, at 12:00 noon. Reception to follow.
