Making Friends (2 ½ to 5 years) ­ 3 weeks In this parenting program, we will explore the world of friendships through your child's eyes. Learn about reasonable expectations, and what you, as a parent can do to help your child discover the world of friends. Start Date: January 10th Time: Wednesdays, 1:15 ­ 3:15 p.m. The Angry Child How Parents Can Help! ­ one evening (6 to 10 years) Presented by James Sutherland, PhD. Jamie will discuss why children become angry and how parents can help them. "Goodness of fit" will be included -- a balance between parenting styles and their child's personality. Date: January 15th Time: Monday, 7:30 ­ 9:30 p.m. Make and Take (2 to 5 years) ­ 3 weeks An opportunity for parents to have fun and be creative. During these classes, parents will create learning materials and activities for their preschooler to enjoy. Learn about flannel board stories, file folder games and more. Start Date: January 31st Time: Wednesdays, 1:15 ­ 3:15 p.m. These programs will be offered at 461 North Service Rd W. Childcare available for daytime programs only for children newborn to 5 years. Registration is required. The Centre is a registered charitable organization, that has provided programs and services for families since 1980.
