Festivities will kick-off with a pancake breakfast in The Towne Square, entertainment by the Oakville Wind Orchestra and the Southern Ontario Music Institute, face painting and more. In the afternoon kids can enjoy a hayride throughout downtown and sink their teeth into fresh corn-on-thecob from Andrews Scenic Acres, or take a yoga lesson from Lululemon. Visitors will be able to stimulate he senses at A Taste of Downtown Oakville located on George Street north of the Towne Square featuring vintages from the Opimian Society ­ The Wine Society of Canada, along with beer tastings from Great Lakes Brewery, complemented by a chocolate fountain from Circus Chocolate, gourmet cheese, and The Red Peppers Dixieland Jazz Band playing from 2:30 - 6 p.m. Artists showing work include Marion Bell, Marguerite Broken, Julie Broadbent, Mary Fedak, Robert-Boast Cornish, Bob Irvine, Martha Sandilands, Scott Snowball and ArtWorks.ren Downtown's Fall Festival will also showcase Oakville's cultural and entertainment scene including The Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts which is offering a twofor-one special for Queen: A Night at the Opera on Sept. 23 and 24. Ticket holders will also receive a copy of The King's Highway Audio CD, a driving tour of the heritage and history of Lakeshore Road from Burlington to Mississauga.
