Construction of the new raw water intake is also underway with the main staging area located in South Shell Park on Lakeshore Road at the south end of Great Lakes Boulevard. This project followed the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Process, which involved public consultations and the completion of an Environmental Study Report in November 2004. Halton Region also hosted two public information centres during the design phase of this project in June 2005 and November 2005, and information is available on the project website at www.halton.ca/BurloakWaterPlant This Public Information Centre is being held to provide interested parties with information regarding the construction activities. Representatives from Halton Region, the consultants and contractors will be in attendance to answer any questions.
