Hot dog and soft drink sales will raise funds to build a second pergola for the park. The barbecue has become an anticipated annual event at the park located on Neyagawa Boulevard just north of Dundas Street. The dog contests, hosted by the Oakville Humane Society, provide fun and entertainment for the crowds. The dog contest entry fee is $2. The categories are: dog that looks most like it's owner, silliest dog trick, dog with the best wag and wiggle, dog that gives the most kisses in 15 seconds, the biggest dog, the smallest dog and the dog with the best costume. There will be prizes and ribbons for all first, second and third place winning dogs. Last year's barbecue and dog contest raised $1,000 for the Oakville Humane Society. More than 400 people came to the event. The off leash area is spacious, fully fenced with ample parking and a pergola for shade. Ottoman 21" x 21" x 19" 3345 Laird Rd.
