The Oakville Beaver, Friday May 26, 2006 - 11 Run/Walk for Ian Anderson House on June 4 The 8th Annual Memorial Walk/Run for Ian Anderson House (IAH) is on June 4. The event ­ which will raise funds for the cancer hospice ­ is a family affair with four and eight-kilometre routes, followed by prizes and a barbecue. This year registration, plus the start and finish, will be Ian Anderson House at 430 Winston Churchill Blvd. Parking is at the Petro Canada Building at 2310 Lakeshore Rd in Mississauga, three kilometres east of Winston Churchill). A bus will shuttle participants to Ian Anderson House. Registration is $10 for adults, and free for children, from 10-11 a.m. at IAH. The walk/run begins at 11 a.m. The event finishes with a complimentary barbecue at IAH. Prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishes as well as 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for individuals and groups who raise the most money from pledges. IAH, Ontario's first in-resident cancer hospice, provides free of charge, round-the-clock end-of-life care to those who cannot be given the necessary care in their own homes.
