Pet Talk By Alice Scott With all the new pets in town I thought a column on kitten and puppy care would be appreciated. This week I'll talk about how to care for your cat. As soon as you bring your kit- ten home, show it the litter box. Put the kitten in the box at once, then repeat this several times on the first day, especially immedi- -caring for a new kitten ately after the kitten has been eat- ing or napping. Try to keep the box in the same spot, away from heavy traf- fic and distractions. Whenever the kitten uses the box praise it. This will reinforce good housetraining. However, even a housetrained cat will refuse a dirty box so be sure you keep it clean. The box should be completely changed \\: ' é os pe *, a\e every three or four days. Cats are so fastidious, they rarely need a bath or much grooming. However, a long haired cat should have regular brushing. An outdoor cat may need an occasional bath to remove stubborn dirt, grease or objectionable odours. Retall buyers choosing a reduced financing rate in lieu of cash rebate are eligible for 10.9% financing over a maximum 48-month term on approved credit. Spe- clal financing Is available when you purchase or lease any new 1990 or prior model year Tempo or Topaz. Example for $15,000 financed over 48 months at 10.9% APR, the monthly payment is $386.95, the cost of borrowing Is $3,573.60 and the total amount to be repaid is $18,573.60. Assuming a rebate of $750 as the alternative, should you choose a reduced financing rate instead of the cash rebate, legislation requires that the amount of the rebate must be included in the cost of borrowing in order to arrive at an effective interest rate. In the example given, the effective interest rate would be 13.02% and the total cost of borrowing Including the rebate not taken would be $4,323.60. Cost of borrowing will vary depending upon the amount financed and term of loan. Financing Is available through Ford Credit only. Cash Back and APR offers are time limited. You may keep the cash or apply It to your transaction. Delivery must be taken from dealer inventory. See dealer for details. seer\"F" SERIES PICKUPS . INCLUDING SUPERCAB! AND BRONCO Ill for cats.
