"When I opened the door at 7:00, I had to run back to get into position," said co-chairman Jack Handel. Every year tables laden with preserves, books, plants, house- hold wares, clothing, knitting, baking, and assorted knick- knacks are open to the public. Jack Handel, who co-chairs the event with Myrtle Gordon, mentioned that each year the planning occurs about six months prior to the event with the help of a large Fall Fair committee. "There is a lot of enthusiasm. It's wall to wall people every year," said Handel of the large crowds. Draws were won by: Holly Smith- ham; Susan Mitchell- gro- cery hamper; Arlene Hamel- crystal; Mrs. Schoales- afghan; and Clara Wheeler- quilt. A penny auction was held to sell off whatever was left on the tables on Saturday evening. A busload of seniors from Thunder Bay attended the fair and enjoyed the supper before returning home. The money raised from the Fall Fair is all given to St. Andrew's Church. "Money from the two-day pro- gram goes back into the church for repairs.
