Page 12, News, Tuesday, June 12, 1990 Minor Ball Program- The Minor ball Program is in full swing with T-ball- Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4:30- 5:30, Public School field. The Juniors and Seniors monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6:00 to 7:30 at Holy Angels field, All Night Ball Tournament- This year's All Night Tournament is shaping up to be another very successful eveni. We have a full slate of 12 teams again this year. The tournament will kick off with the Home Run Derby at 5:30 on Saturday, June 16th. Games will begin at 6:00 p.m. There is another list of exciting novelty games to be played on competing teams. The concession will be open. This year's prizes will be bigger and better and the entire tournament is expected to be even more enjoyable than last year. Swimming Lessons and Playground Programs- Registrations for these summer programs will be distributed throughout the schools this week. Get your registrations into the Rec Office as no late registrations will be accepted. Canada Day Celebrations- Pians for this year's Celebrations have been completed. All festivi- ties will be held on Saturday, June 30th. This year's program will again feature the 5S km road race and is expected to draw a large number of participants with a large out-of-town contingent expected. The Children's Program will once again begin with the parade of decorated bikes along with the bike rodeo. The children's games will be held in the parking lot of the high school. The Canada Day Dance will be held in the arena on Saturday evening. Soccer Program- The soccer program is going very well for the 11 to 15 year olds. Games are Schreiber Rec News-- held Wednesday and Friday evenings in the arena from 7:00 to 8:15. If you are interested, come to the arena. during the games or call the Rec Office at 824-2317. Upcoming Events June 25- The Schreiber Figure Skating Club and Schreiber Curling Club are hosting a Monster Bingo in the arena. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with Early Birds at 6:30. Tickets are available in Schreiber at the L.C.B.O., Sears and any Executive member and in Terrace Bay at Hodder's Jewelers. Don't miss out on big prizes. Canada Day 5 km Walk/Run- "We don't have to win the race, we are the race." Whether you walk, or run, win or lose, you are a part of something. You are the race! You may talk about the weather or visit with everyone along the way. It's all part of the Schreiber Canada Day 5 km Walk/Run. It's to partici- pate and know you did something great for yourself. Who knows- you may start your summer off with a bang and begin a new walking or running schedule. So get out your runners and use them. See you there- Saturday, June 30th. Programs Swimming Program- This program is scheduled to run from July 3 to August 24. The follow- ing age groups have been set up: Emie & Bert--ages 3 and 4; Tot Lot- ages 5 and 6; Summer Day Camp- 7 to 12 years. For a sum- mer filled with loads of fun - reg- ister for Summer Playground prior to Friday, June 22nd, at the Rec Office. Summer Playground- Registration forms are available at the Rec Office. He is. survived by his wife Lillian and sons Stephen and Joseph and his wife Heather, and grandchildren Josephine, Johnathon and Elizabeth, all of Terrace Bay. Also, grand- son Micheal of Thunder Bay. | Also survived by his sisters Veronica O'Connor of Sarnia and. Regina Korcheski of St. Catherines. Predeceased by his brother Joseph in 1955 and his parents John and Rose.' Prayers were held from 8 p.m. Sunday May 27, at St. Martin's Roman Catholic Church, Terrace Bay. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m., also at St. Martin's, with interment to follow in Terrace Bay cemetary. Arrangements were made by King's Funeral Home, Schreiber.
