Tom Dickson, Mine Manager, and John Wilcox, Employee Relations Superintendent for Minnova, presented Rec Director Dean Main and Men's Soccer Coach Dave Ridley with two indoor soccer nets on Wednesday, May 30. The soccer nets will be used by the soccer league in the Terrace Bay arena. Tom Dickson stated, "I'd like to encourage fitness to mine employees." Ake SAFETY IN MEMORIAM HOLMES - Mr. Charles Garett Holmes, 77 years, of Red Rock, Ontario, formerly of Schreiber, Ontario passed }] away peacefully on Saturday, June 2, 1990, in St. Joseph's General Hospital, Thunder Bay, Ontario. Born in Schreiber, Mr. Holmes was orphaned as a young boy and as a result was educated in Thunder Bay. He returned to Schreiber on_ the completion of his education and worked as a conductor for the C.P.R. until his retirement. He married Muriel Varrin in 1938 and they resided in Schreiber until 1989 when they moved to Red Rock. He was a member of the Chimo Club in Schreiber, a life member of the Schreiber Curling Club and.an active member of the Knights of Columbus. Predeceased by his parents - Laurette and Garett Holmes and by one brother Thomas; he is survived by his wife Muriel (Mona) of Red Rock, Ontario, by one son (Butch) Mervin (& wife Phyllis) of Montreal, Quebec, by three daughters - Shirley (Mrs. Robert) Dunville of Red Rock, Carel (Mrs. John) Russell of Ottawa, Ontario and Muriel (Mrs. John) Ross of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, by seven grandchildren - Scott Dunville of Thunder Bay, Lisa (Mrs. Bart) Cates of Red Rock, Jeffrey and Michael Russell of Ottawa, Cary and Jennifer Ross of Sault Ste. Marie and Christopher Holmes of Montreal, by two great grandchildren - Stephanie and Cassandra Cates of Red Rock, by two sisters - Mary Cavanaugh of Sterling Heights, Michigan and Barbara O'Riordan of Copper Cliff, Ontario. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Prayers were offered at the Elliott Funeral Home Ltd., Nipigon on Monday evening Johnny,Gagnon. ' at 7:30 p.m. by Father M. Murtagh of St. Hilary's Church in Red Rock, and Deacon G. Rhodes, assisted by the Knights of Columbus. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 5, 1990 at 1 p.m. at Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church in Schreiber, Ontario with Father J. Rademaker __ officiating. Cremation followed at Sunset Memorial Gardens Crematorium, Thunder Bay with interment of cremains in Schreiber Cemetary. Pallbearers were: John Ross, John Russell, Cary Ross, Bart Cates, Scott Dunville, Robert Dunville. Honourary Pallbearers were: Albert Morris, Pat Guina, Ivan Johnson, Alvin Slater, Karl Redins, Wayne Wilson, Martin Ryan, Bruce Lidkea,
