They were: Melissa Kenny- 2ind-"Préliminary "Figure; Canasta Tango and Swing; Tannis Running- Canasta Tango and Swing; Alyson Mannist- Swing; Jessica Notwell- Fiesta Tango and Willow; Karie Baldwin- Ten Fox, Fiesta Tango, and Junior Bronze Free; Catrina Mackay- Ten Fox, Fiesta Tango, Willow Waltz and Junior Bronze Free. The last competition attended was the Thunder Bay Open on March 2 and 3, held in that city. A total of 14 skaters happily took home 12 medals which helped place the Terrace Ray Figure Skating Club 4th overall our of 12 other clubs. The skaters were: Amanda McWatters- 3rd- Canskate skills; Katie Notwell- 1st- CanFigure; Tammy Noble- 3rd- CanFigure; Andrea McWatters -Ist- CanFigure, 3rd- Interpretive; Jessica Notwell and Karie Baldwin- 2nd- Similar Pairs; Catrina Mackay- Ist- Compulsory, 2nd- Singles; Alyson Mannisto- 2nd- Compulsory; Tannis Running- 2nd- Interpretive; Karie Baldwin- 1st- Singles; Cathy Baldwin- 2nd- Canskate skills. Also participat- ing in the competition were Melissa Kenny, Maggie Grimm, Kerry Bruneau and Lisa Wood They are coached by Gigi Dequanne who admits that they never have a dull moment togeth- er. Gigi plans to be fully certified Level 1 through the CFSA National Coaching Ceftification Program by the end of June 1990. The last event the club is preparing for is their annual car- nival which is scheduled to take place April.7 and 8. This year's theme is "Happiness Is...".
