A new venture this year is the TEEN TRIATHALON, so come on TEENS! Come out and show us your running, swimming and bik- ing skills. Participation is for teens between 13 to 16. There are also two dances being held for the teens of our com- munity. A Teen Dance will be held in the arena on Thursday, June 30. There is no charge for this dance and it is open to all teens from grades 7 to 13. Music is by The Stereo Club, and the dancing will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will run to 11:00 p.m. The Red Dog will sponsor a Youth Dance on Sunday, July 3. This dance is for teens 16 to 19 years old. The Dance will run from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. and there will be a charge of $4.50 per per- son. Music is by Nick DeShane. Don't forget about the BIKE RODEO, which will be held in the Terrace Bay Arena on June 25 from 10:00 a.m. till noon. For EVERYONE!! The Moose Hall will be the set- ting for a great evening. Top 40 music by the band Sister Angel will set the mood for a dance that will begin at 9.00 pm and last until 1.00 am. Leave your skates at home and come enjoy the music of Nick DeShane. The evening will be from 9.00 pm to 1.00 pm. There will be helicopter rides this year so this will be your chance to see Terrace Bay from the air. The cost of the ride will be $15.00 per person. If the helicopter rides are a success and you wish to take advantage of this event, the pilot has agreed to stay over July 1 and July 2 if requested. The Parade will line up behind Birchwood Terrace and will start at 10:00 a.m. The Parade theme will be "Recreation-Fun for Everyone". The Fraser Girls Pipe Band will be here again as well as the ever- popular Shriners from Thunder Bay. Marching along the parade will be the A & W Root Bear as well as Polkaroo. Following the parade at Simcoe Plaza, the Fraser Girls Pipe Band will put on a demonstration. The ever popular Beer Gardens will be held down at the Aguasabon Golf Course as well as the Mixed Fun Golf Tournament and Children's fun-filled events. This all takes place on July 1 and will be followed by a Giant Bon- Fire at the Terrace Bay Beach. (weather permitting). After dark the Fire Works display will end off a fun-filled day of events. Start Sunday July 3 off with a Pancake Breakfast atthe Moose Hall and join in a game of Horse Shoes. Perhaps you would like to go down to the conference room at the Recreation Centre and cheer the seniors on at their crib and bridge. The local merchants of our town as well as some of the local clubs will be hosting a Side-Walk Sale from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on July 2.
