Fire and water A fire hose and sprinkler kept an area of the forest just east of Terrace Bay soaked with water following a fire in that region on May 21. A number of water bombers, helicopters, municipal fire crews, local police officers, government personnel, and volunteers kept the blaze at bay. No injuries were reported.
